Hugh Hefner: 'I don't believe in monogamy'

Playboy founder Hugh Hefner has said that he doesn't think the practice of monogamy is natural.

The 85-year-old is due to marry 24-year-old Crystal Harris later this month, but has claimed that his views on monogamy have nothing to do with his upcoming marriage.

"I'm totally capable of being a good husband," Hefner insisted, according to Bang Showbiz. "I can be devoted, sensitive. Faithful? Yes, absolutely."

"I do think that monogamy is possible," he continued. "I just don't think it's the natural way of things."

The CCO of Playboy Enterprises also said that that despite his disagreement with the idea of monogamy, he knew that he had to marry Harris.

"I wasn't planning on getting married again but I can't imagine meeting anyone I'd get on better with," he added. "People make so much of the age gap, but we have a lot in common."

Hefner announced his engagement to Harris on Christmas Day 2010, after finalizing his divorce from second wife Kimberley Conrad in March last year.

Hefner and Harris are due to get married on June 18.
