The book will debut at San Diego Comic-Con International this year, reports Comic Book Resources.

McLaughlin originally brought Seven Holes for Air to Paxton as a screenplay. When the Hatfields & McCoys star was unable to commit to the project, he suggested that it be adapted as a graphic novel.

He brought Reinman, who has been working as storyboard artist with Paxton and McLaughlin on Kung Fu, on to the project.

The graphic novel centres around Bob Rourke, a tough steelworker who begins to hallucinate an alternate Wild West reality caused by a terminal brain tumour.

Paxton will be signing copies of Seven Holes for Air at the Arcana booth at Comic-Con on July 18.
