E3 2012: 'Watch Dogs' announced by Ubisoft - watch video

By
Watch Dogs was announced by Ubisoft at the publisher's E3 2012 press conference.

The original property sees players take control of a hacker named Aiden Pearce, who has an entire city's surveillance system at his disposal.

Watch Dogs takes place from the third-person perspective, combing all-out action segments with hacking mechanics. Pearce can tap into people's electronic devices to gather intel on them, and infiltrate security systems vital to the city.

Footage shown at E3 showed the protagonist bring traffic to a standstill with his computing skills, and gain entry to an art museum by jamming phones.

Ubisoft also revealed Rayman Legends, Zombi U, and Avengers: Battle for Earth for Wii U at E3, and showcased new trailers for Assassin's Creed 3 and Far Cry 3, among other announcements.

Watch Dogs is yet to be assigned a release date.
