Originally scheduled for a mid-January release, the game will now launch on March 12, according to Eurogamer.
The development team announced the news in a statement, but failed to specify the reason for the latest delay.
Taking place in real-world locations such as Sarajevo, Burma and Tibet, Sniper Ghost Warrior 2 has been built using CryEngine 3 and features improved bullet camera kills, new items and weapons.
As private security member Captain Cole Anderson, users will play alongside a spotter, who will eliminate secondary targets and offer advice.
The original Sniper Ghost Warrior sold more than two million copies following its release in 2010.
Initially available for the PC and Xbox 360, a PlayStation 3 version launched last year, containing upgraded visuals, new missions, multiplayer maps and a Hardcore difficulty mode.
