'Rayman Legends' to receive a second Wii U-exclusive demo

By
Rayman Legends will be given a second demo exclusive to the Wii U, Ubisoft has revealed.

On the publisher's Facebook page, it announced the new demo as an apology to Wii U fans after the game was delayed from March until September.

"Thanks for all your feedback regarding Rayman Legends in all of its forms. We have heard you and we will continue to listen. We understand your frustration and that you want to get your hands on the game," Ubisoft said.

"We are working with the development team to provide you with a new, exclusive demo for the Wii U soon. Stay tuned for more."

It was recently announced that Rayman Legends will also release on the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, and that all three versions will launch in early September.

Ubisoft offered an explanation for the Wii U delay, citing the simultaneous multiplatform release as one of the reasons.

An anonymous developer from the game also posted on a forum about frustrations with the Wii U version's delay. In the developer's post it was noted that constantly building new demos for expos like E3 and gamescom was a contributing factor for Rayman Legends not being ready in time for the Wii U launch.

It is somewhat ironic then that yet another new demo is being made now that the game has received a six-month delay.
