Digital Spy takes a look at the pick of this week's top trailer releases below...
'Man of Steel' trailer: Henry Cavill soars as new Superman
Zack Snyder's retooling of the Superman origin story unveiled its second promo earlier this week, yet still managed to keep Michael Shannon's sinister General Zod under wraps (he's glimpsed ever so briefly). The 300 helmer has a knack for cutting great trailers, even if the final films themselves don't match up, but we're cautiously optimistic due to the involvement of Dark Knight duo Christopher Nolan and David Goyer.
'Pacific Rim' trailer: Guillermo del Toro directs monster blockbuster
You have to go all the way back to 2008's Hellboy II for the last Guillermo del Toro-directed movie, so many eyes are trained on this huge-scale blockbuster about alien monsters battling against human-piloted robots. Idris Elba and Charlie Hunnam lead the cast of Pacific Rim, which is sure to deliver big blockbuster thrills next summer.
'After Earth' trailer: Will Smith, Jaden Smith unite on sci-fi adventure
Will Smith and Jaden Smith team up for this sci-fi adventure about a father and son who crash-land on an Earth that's been long-abandoned by the human race. With M Night Shyamalan (Sixth Sense) behind the camera, can we expect a shocking final act twist in After Earth?
'GI Joe: Retaliation': The Rock, Bruce Willis in new trailer
This action sequel was initially meant to hit cinemas last year, but was delayed as studio Paramount retooled the movie to include more Channing Tatum and give it a 3D conversion. Much of the footage in this new trailer has already been glimpsed before, but there's still something jaw-dropping about seeing London get levelled.
'Welcome to the Punch': James McAvoy hunts Mark Strong
For those craving a crime drama in the mould of Michael Mann's LA epic Heat, the latest film from Shifty's Eran Creevy looks like it ticks all the right boxes. James McAvoy plays a cop on the trail of Mark Strong's criminal in London - expect gun fights, car chases and towering skyscrapers in Welcome to the Punch, which opens in cinemas early next year.
