Dwayne Johnson has signed a deal to star in upcoming action movie Lore, it has been reported.
The project, which was recently bought by Warner Bros, is based on a graphic novel about an ancient line of protectors called "shepherds" who defend the world from dangerous mythological beasts.
Cory Goodman - writer of the 2011 film Priest - has been tapped to pen the screenplay adaptation.
Johnson signed a seven-figure deal to star in the film, according to Deadline.
The actor is also currently in talks to star in Journey 3, a follow-up to the highly successful family adventure movie Journey 2: The Forbidden Island.
Johnson will next be seen in G.I. Joe: Retaliation, due out this summer.
