Zoe Saldana: 'Avatar' sequels will be filmed together

By
Zoe Saldana has suggested that the two Avatar sequels will be filmed simultaneously.

The actress, who played Neytiri in the first installment of the James Cameron movie franchise, said that shooting the second and third movies needed to happen "at the same time".

Speaking on tonight's (May 4) edition of The Jonathan Ross Show, the Star Trek Into Darkness actress said: "I think that they're doing a part two and a part three and they're probably going to shoot it at the same time.

"Because if we just do two and then wait, I'll probably be 45 or 50 by the time we get to part three. It takes a long time, it's a very hard process."

Saldana also confirmed that shooting will begin early next year. It was recently revealed that the first sequel to the 2009 movie won't be released until at least 2015.

Director Cameron has said that he wants to avoid "Matrix pitfalls" in the sequels.
