Pearl Jam are to headline Jay-Z's upcoming Made in America Music Festival.

Jay-Z announced the festival earlier this month, which is scheduled to take place over the Labor Day weekend in Philadelphia. Proceeds from the event will go towards the United Ways charity.

Last week, the rapper said the event will make history, encompassing "every genre of music, creating and showcasing the only genre that matters, 'great music'".

According to Billboard, Pearl Jam will headline one night of the two-night event at Fairmount Park.

Other acts tipped to perform at the festival - which has been personally curated by Jay-Z - include Dirty Projectors, Passion Pit and R&B performer D'Angelo. A total of twenty-eight acts are expected to take the stage over the two days.

Tickets for the Made in America festival will go on sale Wednesday, May 23 at 10am ET.

Jay Z will headline the BBC Radio 1 Hackney Weekend in the UK on Saturday, June 23.
