The outspoken singer-songwriter has previously insulted "X Factor s**t" in the charts like Leona Lewis and One Direction.
Asked about Mumford & Sons, Bugg told The Guardian: "They just look like posh farmers with banjos to me... but I don't have anything against anyone's background."
Liam Gallagher has previously said that Mumford & Sons look "like they've got f**king nits and eat lentil soup with their sleeves rolled up" while Frightened Rabbit frontman Scott Hutchison accused the band of "shovelling the same s**t" with their second album Babel.
Of whether rock 'n' roll has lost touch with the working class, Bugg added: "Yeah, it's a shame, because times are hard. My mom was a single mom on the dole.
"A couple of years ago I was trying to get enough together for a pack of fags. It's hard to rely on being a musician right now, but you have to do what it takes."
Quizzed on being photographed at celebrity-filled parties, Bugg said: "I hate that s**t, though. Does. My. Head. In.
"I don't really know what they're after by papping me anyway. I'm just some lad who writes a few tunes, you know what I mean?"
Bugg has been romantically linked with model Cara Delevingne and is booked to play this year's Reading and Leeds festivals.
