'Jersey Shore' Pauly D joins Britney Spears 'Femme Fatale' tour

Paul 'Pauly D' DelVecchio has joined Britney Spears's 'Femme Fatale' tour.

The Jersey Shore star will perform on six dates of the 'Till the World Ends' singer's current tour.

"I am so excited to be performing on the Britney Spears 'Femme Fatale' Tour," Pauly D said in a statement. "Britney is one of my favorite performers and certainly one of this generation's most influential artists. It's an amazing platform to connect with my fans around the country."

UK duo Jedward recently hinted that they may join Spears on the UK leg of her tour, though the 29-year-old has yet to confirm the news.

Pauly D was sued for $4 million (£2.5m) earlier this month over alleged copyright infringement.

In June, the disc jockey dismissed rumors that MTV is planning to recast Jersey Shore following the show's fifth season, insisting that the current lineup is irreplaceable.

Jersey Shore returns on August 3 on MTV.
