Owl found stuck in Florida driver's car - video

A Florida motorist has expressed her shock upon finding a great horned owl stuck in her car.

Sonji Coney Williams was flagged down in a Miami car park after a pedestrian spotted the bird's yellow eyes.

It is presumed that the owl became stuck in the radiator of the SUV after being hit by the car 24 hours before.

"I was driving about 60 miles per hour and the bird never moved. I felt so bad [for hitting it] but it was very dark and we didn't pull over."

The owl was later removed from the car by the Florida Fish and Wildlife Service.

It was reported to be in good health despite its long stay in the grille.

A gif of the owl's yellow eyes peeking through the radiator as the camera zooms in has become popular online.
