Corrie scheme, 'EastEnders' Lexi scare, 'Oaks exit, E'dale wedding

By
Coronation Street villain Karl Munro continues his ruthless behavior in upcoming episodes as he frames his former mistress Sunita Alahan for arson.

Earlier this week, over ten million viewers watched Karl (John Michie) set fire to the Rovers Return and leave Sunita for dead in the burning cellar.

Fortune seems to be working in Karl's favor in the next few days, as police decide that Sunita (Shobna Gulati) must have started the fire.

As Sunita was in the pub at the time of the blaze and had publicly threatened landlady Stella Price a short while earlier, it isn't hard for many local residents to believe that she was the culprit.

Making the most of this opportunity, Karl decides that he'll stop at nothing to ensure that Sunita takes the rap for the tragedy.

With Sunita still fighting for her life, Karl sneaks into her hospital room and makes sure that her fingerprints are all over the keys he used to get into The Rovers.

Afterwards, Karl places the keys in Sunita's hospital bedside cabinet with the rest of her personal effects. Will Karl get away with his terrible crime?

Coming up on Hollyoaks, teacher Jen Gilmore finally gets her comeuppance as everyone finds out that she lied about her relationship with student Tilly Evans.

Earlier this year, Jen (Amy Downham) resorted to desperate measures to keep the romance under wraps, falsely claiming that Tilly had been harassing her when she threatened to reveal the truth about them.

It's clear that Tilly (Lucy Dixon) hasn't given up on exposing the real story next month as she plants Esther Bloom's tell-all diary in John Paul McQueen's pigeon hole at college, with details of her and Jen's affair in it.

Later at the college open day, the walls close in on Jen as she gets a nasty surprise when giving a speech to the parents of the next batch of prospective students.

With damning images of her and Tilly in romantic clinches projected behind her, it's clear that Jen can't worm her way out of this one as headteacher Patrick Blake (Jeremy Sheffield) has witnessed the whole thing.

Meanwhile, Emmerdale's Nikhil Sharma surprises partner Gennie Walker by suggesting that they should get married soon.

Nikhil (Rik Makarem) comes up with the idea as he knows that it might be their only chance to tie the knot while Gennie's mom Brenda is still around.

With Brenda still refusing to have treatment for her brain tumour, Nikhil and Gennie (Sian Reese-Williams) are slowly coming to terms with the prospect of losing her.

Brenda even calls a family meeting and urges everyone to support her decision, pointing out that she can't fight her loved ones as well as a tumour.

Although initially taken aback by Nikhil's suggestion, Gennie agrees to get their wedding sorted as soon as possible.

The couple are pleased with their plans as they share the news, but Brenda is far from impressed as she thinks it's all a ploy to get her to have the operation…
