'Teen Wolf' star: 'I could beat Taylor Lautner in a fight'

Teen Wolf star Tyler Posey has joked that he could beat Twilight's Taylor Lautner in a fight.

Posey, who stars as Scott in the MTV show, explained that he would have an advantage as his character is a mixture of human and wolf.

"You know, Taylor's a cool dude," he told Metro. "I think he's got me beat right now in the fitness stakes.

"But in a werewolf fight? He actually turns into a full-on wolf and I turn into this half-man, half-werewolf creature. I don't know - I would have opposable thumbs, so maybe that would win, as he's got paws. Maybe I could use them to gouge his eyes out."

Teen Wolf's creator Jeff Davis, who recently insisted that the show is nothing like Twilight or The Vampire Diaries, suggested that supernatural dramas are popular because they provide "escapism".

Teen Wolf airs on Mondays at 10/9c on MTV in the US. The show will premiere in the UK on July 7 at 8pm on Sky Living.
