The actress, who normally wears a 36C bra size, insisted that she did not approve the Photoshopped print ad for the Lifetime series, where her breasts have been noticeably reduced in size.
"Somebody sent me a copy of the photograph, and I was like, 'Um, what happened?'" Hewitt said during an interview with KROQ 106.7 radio station.
"I'm not quite sure what's going on, but apparently somebody wanted me to have a boob reduction. The thing that's even crazier is that usually when they do that stuff, I had to see the photograph before they went out anywhere, and I never saw a new version of it."
However, a source has since told E Online that the change was to be expected and is not uncommon in the industry, explaining: "Some magazines and websites wanted something a little tamer, so Lifetime changed them a little bit. Things like this happen all the time."
Hewitt recently insisted that she will never do on-screen nudity and would not have taken her role in The Client List if it was required.
