'The Bachelor' season 17 unveils first trailer of Sean Lowe - watch

The Bachelor has unveiled the first trailer for its new season.

Sean Lowe - who finished in third place on Emily Maynard's recent run of The Bachelorette - will be the subject of the upcoming 17th season of the ABC show.



The promo features a shirtless look at the new Bachelor, as well as a preview of the conflict and squabbles among the latest batch of female contestants.

Earlier this year, ABC released the first official photo of Lowe on the dating series.

Host Chris Morrison has predicted that Lowe will be a hit with the viewers because he is "so sincere" in his approach to the competition.

"He's not looking for a Southern belle per se, but he's looking for a lady - someone who respects herself and her family," Morrison disclosed.

"It's not a crazy, 'Let's get drunk, let's get naked' type of season because that's not Sean. [The Bachelor] really does take the shape of the character and that's not him."

The Bachelor returns on Monday, January 7 on ABC.
